Common questions
When should shrubs be trimmed?
It depends on the plant. Spring bloomers are pruned after they flower so you do not cut off next season's buds. Evergreens and hedges get shaped on a different cycle. We time it to what is planted.
Question 1 of 3Do you shear everything into boxes?
No. Shrubs get shaped to their natural habit unless the design calls for a formal hedge. Shearing everything is faster, but it thins plants out over a few seasons.
Question 2 of 3Does this include weeding the beds?
Bed weed management is part of routine landscape maintenance. Heavy restoration on beds that have been left for a season or more is quoted separately.
